  1. I created a thread on this. But, the more people who learn about this and get outraged by it the better. We don't need this. Bowers Tower would be gone forever and the railroad area behind the knoll would be drastically changed. Closing down Dealey Plaza to traffic is fine. Close Commerce, Main, and Elm, and Houston Street. That's fine. But, no amphitheater, no overlook, and no official pool marker on or in Elm Street. Leave the site alone. Let it look like it did in 1963.
  2. Only Larry Snafu would try to show slides on a podcast.
  3. I think this redesign of Dealey Plaza conflicts with the National Historic Landmark designation. But, I wonder if that could be used in a legal proceeding to stop this. I hope so. I also think the powerful elites of Dallas are desperate to own the narrative of what happened in Dealey Plaza and want to control every inch of that space. They want to own it and police it. We've seen them arrest Robert Gordon like 90 times. But, they always fail to put him in jail and keep him there like they want. This redesign is a power grab for sure. It's far worse than when Disney tried to create a Civil War theme park, or when Wal-Mart nearly put a super center on the land where Grant first fought Lee at the Battle of the Wilderness in Orange County, Virginia. Dealey Plaza is a unique place. It is the scene of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. It is a crime scene. There are still far too many unanswered questions about the assassination. It is hallowed ground that belongs to the American people. It does not belong to the elites of Dallas to parcel it out to architectural firms as a toy to win in a redesign competition. This power grab cloaked in the words of "respect" or "remembrance" is an insult to history and all who still care about President Kennedy. The research community should reach out to the law firms and preservationist groups in Texas and elsewhere. Dallas does have an Office of Preservation but I doubt they have any power to stop this. But, they should be contacted anyway. Preservation Texas, is a non-profit group member-supported organization dedicated to protecting the historic resources of Texas. They should be contacted. It costs $40 to become a member for a year. It's worth it to have a voice with them and to try to gain their support, if possible, to stop this. If they change Dealey Plaza into this nightmare we will never get it back. Joe Backes

  5. Do you have a link for Morley's podcast where they discuss the lawsuit? Joe

  7. Hurry up download & save this. I think this is a horrible idea and must be stopped. I think it's insulting and a travesty. They are going to present this at the 6th Floor Museum, ( well, where else? ) on Tuesday Nov 15th at 6:30 p.m. See - https://interactives.dallasnews.com/2022/designers-reimagine-site-of-jfk-assassination-triple-underpass-in-downtown-dallas/?fbclid=IwAR3p6lhugHBZlHsCzQv1f3m4ufdUgKmQQ70bTk1K2bpO0kkm5zpwQuWEC1o Joe
  8. You're welcome. For those interested, I think it's fair to say every member of the ARRB, and by that I mean the five member board thought "Oswald did it. No conspiracy." But, they were keen to get all the records about it declassified. They were the most open to the research community than any previous government agency looking into the JFK Assassination. So, I give them great credit for that. They did much more than I ever thought they would when this process started. They did try to investigate the Mexico City issue, and the medical issues of the case, at least a little bit. But, only up to a certain point. They could have done a lot more on both issues. I think we're all still trying to go through that they've given us. You would have to spend a lifetime and a few fortunes to get your own copy of every document they declassified. And even if one had everything then you need to read and analyze it all. I think I have a full, proper listing of every RIF number. I have more than NARA has presented so far. I'm helping with the lawsuit to get everything properly declassified and open in full to the public which was the ARRB's and the intention of the law in 2017. I hope NARA will scan every document and makes that all available online. I believe Biden instructed them to do so. That will certainly save us all a lot of money. I'd love to get to Archives II again, maybe sometime in 2023. Joe
  9. Tunheim's claims: #1 NO SS documents were really destroyed. NOT TRUE. Compare this claim to ARRB's Final Report: Congress passed the JFK Act of 1992. One month later, the Secret Service began its compliance efforts. However, in January 1995, the Secret Service destroyed presidential protection survey reports for some of President Kennedy's trips in the fall of 1963. The Review Board learned of the destruction approximately one week after the Secret Service destroyed them, when the Board was drafting its request for additional information. The Board believed that the Secret Service files on the President's travel in the weeks preceding his murder would be relevant. The Review Board requested the Secret Service to explain the circumstances surrounding the destruction, after passage of the JFK Act. The Secret Service formally explained the circumstances of this destruction in correspondence and an oral briefing to the Review Board. The Review Board also sought to account for certain additional record categories that might relate to the Kennedy assassination. For example, the Review Board sought information regarding a protective intelligence file on the Fair Play for Cuba Committee (FPCC) and regarding protective intelligence files relating to threats to President Kennedy in the Dallas area (the Dallas-related files were disclosed to the Warren Commission). The FPCC and Dallas-related files apparently were destroyed, and the Review Board sought any information regarding the destruction. As of this writing, the Service was unable to provide any specific information regarding the disposition of these files. The Secret Service submitted its Final Declaration of Compliance dated September 18, 1998, but did not execute it under oath. The Review Board asked the Service to re-submit its Final Declaration. #2 Tunheim says both CIA and FBI were listening in on LHOs phone conversations in Mexico City. He says both FBI and CIA had bugged the embassies separately. TRUE. The FBI had its own separate tap of the phone line(s). See FBI Director Clarence Kelly's book "Kelly: The Story of an FBI Director." #3 - FBI were following LHO as they were investigating him for the Walker shooting. - FALSE. LHO was never a suspect in the Gen. Walker shooting until well after the assassination of JFK. DPD records contemporaneous with the Walker shooting detail the actual bullet in this shooting was never copper jacketed, and was, in fact, steel jacketed. These records exist, I have them. When the WC needed to address the motive for the crime and Oswald's seeming to be confused, shall we say, about his own personal, political ideology they decided he didn't have one and was an equal opportunity lone gunman. The target's political ideology didn't matter to him. See, he tried to kill Gen. Walker. So, therefore despite an assassination being a political crime JFK's was not a political assassination. That's why Walker's shooting is thrown in here. #4 & #5 - George Joannides. The ARRB knew about George Joannides and the issues about him. But, were unsuccessful in getting any good documents on him. See RIF #104-10336-10020, for example. Did Tunheim see the file? Probably. Exactly what file(s) and what was in the file(s) when given to the ARRB is unknown. I suspect some things were removed before given to the ARRB. The idea that Joannides trained any anti-Castro Cubans as part of the BOP is new to me and as far as I know and without foundation. Joe
  10. There will be no oversight hearing if the GOP take over the House. None. Carve that in stone. It will be 24/7 go after Trump's enemies. Free the insurrectionists! "Officially" declare Trump won in 2020. Try and nullify the two impeachments. MTG trying to impeach Biden. And garbage like that. Kari Lake trying to investigate Hunter Biden. Dr. Oz gets to the oranges of COVID, etc, etc. We have only made progress in this case when the Dems had the House and the White House.
  11. FWIW, It's not new video. It's video of the HSCA testimony of Louie Steven Witt with an amalgamation of clips of other witnesses claiming the limousine stopped. This issue will not die. The limousine did not come to a full and complete stop. No matter how many times people try to tell you it did, it didn't. I do not believe Mr. Witt was "The Umbrella Man." Nor, do I believe the umbrella in the HSCA hearing is the same umbrella in Dealey Plaza that day.
  12. Bruce Solie's travel records initially released on Ancestry.com and meant to be included in an appendix in John Newman's book, "Uncovering Popov's Mole" were inexplicably deemed eligible by someone at Amazon.com / Kindle. So, to expedite the publication Newman deleted these records. They are now available on Newman's site at - Uncovering Popov's Mole Supplement. Also included is RIF # 180-10110-10010, Bruce Solie's testimony to the HSCA, which is not online at the Mary Ferrell Foundation.
  13. Excuse me, I misread it. I thought it was a letter and not an email.
  14. Would you please scan that letter and share it? I'd like to see a copy of it. Knowing the true size of the JFK Record Collection I highly doubt anyone, even a team or 10 or more, is going through the entire collection unless it has already been digitized, or they're merely going through a recently created and highly inaccurate Excel database. It's been an ongoing nightmare how they "interfile" documents into files and boxes. They don't seem to have a list detailing what s getting interfiled and when, or if they do they don't share this with the public. You may think you've copied the entire contents of a box, and maybe you return to that box later in your research and now its bulging with documents that weren't in it before. Malcolm had a fit about this and tried to get them to tell the world what they're doing. They seem to think this is all an internal policy and none of your business, etc. "Considered for digitization?" Didn't President Biden tell them to digitize the collection? Reinterpreting what the term "assassination records," scares me. They could just as easily reinterpret it to mean that nothing is an "assassination record," and there's no need to have this collection at all. We need to know the names of these people - Chief Operations Officer and Research Services Executive
  15. Appropriate to the topic of the HUGE tariffs imposed on cars in Vietnam is this clip from the British show, "Top Gear." Jeremy, Richard and James are told to buy some wheels and are given 15 million dong each. They think they're suddenly rich. A dong as I write this is equivalent to 0.000040 against the United States Dollar. James finds a car he likes. The cost? 560 million dong. James finds out that 15 million dong was equal to about, $1,000. Cars had a 200% tariff on them. They cannot buy a car, but they can buy bikes, or mopeds
  16. Not true. Have you been to Archives II? Ever? BTW, many have been. Digitized, I mean.
  17. As he mention in the podcast he's getting some strange repression from Facebook, And Amazon.com and Kindle. But, they won't succeed. Joe
  18. An amazing show. I'd like to know more about Amazon, Kindle, and Facebook's attempts to suppress Volume 4. I'd love to see screen captures of their nonsense. Anyway, John names the mole inside the CIA's Office of Security.
  19. There's always going be a movie, article, or book about JFK having an affair and they will always be used as if they are true, actual evidence to buttress the lie that JFK and Marilyn Monroe were lovers when they never were. The sleaze will never end. Read Don McGovern's work. https://marilynfromthe22ndrow.com/wp/murder-orthodoxies/ Read how stupid the lies are. Listen to Don on Black Op Radio. Show #1114 Original airdate: Sept 29, 2022 Guests: Jen Abreu, Donald McGovern, Jim DiEugenio Topics: Sirhan's Lawyer https://www.blackopradio.com/pod/black1114.mp3
  20. There is absolutely no truth to the story that JFK and Marilyn Monroe were lovers. Nor did RFK have an affair with MM. It's just sleaze told to demonize all three of them. And to make money for those who want to demonizing them. Don McGovern, I think, has proven this to be the case. His book "Murder Orthodoxies" once out of print is now free and online. https://marilynfromthe22ndrow.com/wp/murder-orthodoxies/ Don has a great website where he shares a lot of information on MM. Educate yourselves. Don was on Black Op Radio recently. His previous appearances are great too. https://www.blackopradio.com/archives2022.html Show #1114 Original airdate: Sept 29, 2022 Guests: Jen Abreu, Donald McGovern, Jim DiEugenio Topics: Sirhan's Lawyer https://www.blackopradio.com/pod/black1114.mp3
  21. I wish a RIF # could be given for this. I think I might have this on audiocassette. I have an HSCA interview of Angleton on audiocassette. I'm pretty sure Alan and Jeff didn't make the transcript.
