I'm sure it won't be everything. I can't wait to see what it is. I'll analyze it as fast as possible. But, we should take our time to analyze it. What will be released most likely cannot be properly read in a day. It needs to be properly indexed. It will need to be put into the proper context, compared and contrasted with what we know. I hope people will shy away from the instant analysis offered up from people who never once set foot in Archives II, who cannot even be bothered to read any document on the Mary Ferrell site who nevertheless will flood the internet with their thoughts on this release. A virtual press conference on Friday is too soon to offer any substantive analysis. Not only do we have to address adding these new pieces to our jigsaw puzzle, but we need to compare each document to its previous release(s). We need to know if they are releasing something now while at the same time trying to redact what they have previously released. This is already the case with the 2017, 2018, and 2021 releases. Joe

Wallace Milam was a class act, brilliant and funny. He gave great presentations in the 1990's that skewered Lattimer and Posner. Greatly missed.

The guy who started this thread told me he's a family friend. He said Lifton was living in the Las Vegas area. So, that should limit a search for local news about this.

Youtube.com is now saying 9:30 AM. We are less than 10 minutes from this as I type this.

Folks, There's a discrepancy over when the event occurs. Morley has said in two emails to me it's at 9:30 AM. The Youtube.com link for the live stream indicates 12:30 PM. I've asked him to contact Youtube.com and see why they say 12:30 PM. But, he might not get back to me with an explanation. And he may be on his way to the event now. Who knows what the morning commute in DC is like these days? Anyway, to play it safe tune in at 9:30 AM. I hope we can see and hear it live at 9:30 AM. Thank you, Joe Backes

According to an email, which was a media advisory from Jeff, it's at 9:30 am. Also, MFF site says 9:30 AM EST. Might be repeating same info from the media advisory. Youtube.com is saying it's live at 12:30 PM. I've asked Jeff to clarify in an email but doubt he'll respond before the event. So, the only way to know is to tune in starting at 9:30 AM. Joe

While I commend Jefferson Morley's quest to get records relating to George Joannides I do worry that Morley is over selling these records as a "smoking gun," or the smoking gun in the case. I think he's building up expectations too much. Morley needs to explain who George Joannides was in 1963 and 1964, that all of that was lied about and withheld from everyone during the HSCA. When that truth came out due to the work of the ARRB in the 1990's the HSCA's lead counsel G. Robert Blakey finally realized he was played by the CIA like a $3 fiddle. Blakey had previously always defended the CIA and denounced all conspiracy theories except his own belief that the mob did it. Morley should spend some time to mention the CIA's Scott Breckinridge who was Joannides boss during the days of the HSCA. There was a hell of lot more to the story of the CIA's subversion and corruption of the HSCA than the story of one guy, George Joannides. Joannides was one part of a full throttle attack plan to take control of the HSCA and bury the whole JFK Assassination for decades. They succeeded in doing that for nearly 50 years now. I wonder what Jim Lesar thinks of this. I wonder why the Assassination Archive and Research Center seems to be dormant and taking a back seek to the Mary Ferrel Foundation. I wonder what John Newman thinks of this. I've seen and heard Rolf Mowatt-Larssen at a JFK conference before. I was not impressed. I do not believe him. John Tunheim recently lied on a podcast that no Secret Service records were destroyed and that the ARRB had back up copies of the material. Well, that's not what the ARRB's Final Report says. No, the contents have not been publicly revealed. Rep. Richard Neal as the Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee has the legal right to see a President's tax records. It's part of the checks and balances, which Trump thought didn't apply to him. Despite the law Trump and his enablers said no. So, the case had to go through the courts. Trump knows how to win by losing, win by delaying. He thought the Conservative bloc, three of that five appointed by him, would take their marching orders from him. And they didn't. The tax law has to be changed to allow the public to see the tax records already collected and in the JFK Collection. It's not the same issue because they are tax records.

So, a Dallas preservationist is against it. Some good news.
