As for keeping a watch on Nazis during the WC hearings, they also had Dulles for that. The common link that explains our embrace of Nazis is business. McCloy and Dulles represented US business and banking interests who for the most part did not want to enter the War, hoping to see the USSR destroyed. The enlistment of the remains of the Nazi war machine into our military and Intelligence structures after the War did not emerge in a vacuum.

A tweet from the account of Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Friday used language that many observers say evokes the known Nazi hate symbol “1488.” This deserves it own post but the mods would just move it to EF-JFKA Siberia.

I've often wondered about McCloy due to his attending the 1936 Berlin Olympics as a guest.

• McCloy immediatily after war was invited by Nelson Rockefeller to join the family law firm. He accepted the offer and the firm became known as Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy . The law firm's most important client was the Rockefeller family's bank, and Chase National. 
• in 1949 he replaced Lucius Clay, as High Commissioner for Germany, he was back on familiar grounds with nearly dictatorial power. 
• He was person mainly responsible for letting nazi Lyon's overseer Klaus Barbie, known from his sadistic interrogations he was often performing himself.
• In March 1950, McCloy was given the task of appointing a new head of the West German Secret Service. After discussing the matter with Frank Wisner of the CIA, McCloy decided on Reinhard Gehlen, the Nazi war criminal.
• 1950 McCloy began process of releasing people convicted in Nurymberg Trials, all for very serious crimes, all also connected to McCloy and people he represented. That was absolute violation of any given international law. First to go were Alfried Kruppe (fromKruppe AG ) and Friedrich Flick, both convicted for crimes against humanity, plunder and slave labour. 
• In October 1950, he commuted the five-year sentence of Baron Ernst von Weizsacker, who as a Nazi Foreign Office official had been convicted of complicity in the deportation of some six thousand Jews from France to Poland. In January of the following year, McCloy announced that five of the fifteen death sentences from the Nuremburg judgements would be carried out. He then reduced the sentences of sixty four of the remaining seventy four war criminals. One third of these were to be released immediately. • In 1961, he was President Kennedy's chief disarmament adviser and negotiator.

So I found this rather suspicious. 
• But only thread (the author) found was this: In 50's McCloys lawyer's company aquired a client, the Nobel oil firm, whose interests in Czarist Russia had been managed by the father of George de Mohrenschildt, Lee and Marina Oswald's "best friend" in Dallas. Nobel Oil is still existing vast corporation, focused on drillings in Russia.
• Interestingly McCloy DID NOT believe in theory of lone-gunman. At least that's what he expressed in conversation with his away, he also thought it was suspicious how swiftly Oswald got back into country after defecting. McCloy openly said to his wife that he had heard “a very realistic rumor” that Oswald was not a genuine defector and that he was sent to the Soviet Union by the CIA.

On August 24, 1963, Gilpatric, in his capacity as Acting Secretary of Defense during McNamara’s absence, signed off on a cable which encouraged Diem’s removal. On November 1, Diem and his brother were murdered as a result of a coup, which left the South Vietnamese government even more insecure. 

In November 1962, the Pentagon announced that General Dynamics had won the contract for the new tactical fighter experimental (TFX) plane, despite the military’s preference for the designs submitted by Boeing. Senator Henry Jackson (D-WA), unhappy that Seattle-based Boeing failed to win the contract, persuaded Permanent Investigations Subcommittee Chairman John McClellan (D-AR) to probe the award. When the subcommittee discovered the fact that General Dynamics had been a client of Gilpatric’s law firm, it summoned the Deputy Secretary to Capitol Hill to explain the possible conflict of interest. The Summer Olympic Games are held in Berlin, allowing the world its first (stage-managed) look at the Third Reich. The Olympic Games were a propoganda success for the Nazi state. The Nazis made every effort to portray Germany as a respectable member of the international community and soft-pedaled their persecution of the Jews. The Germans disguise any outward signs of antisemitism by removing anti-Jewish signs from public display restrained anti-Jewish activities. In response to pressure from foreign Olympic delegations, Germany also included Jews or part-Jews on its Olympic team. Avery Brundage, head of the United States National Olympic Committee, successfully fights against an American boycott of the Berlin Olympics, insisting that the Olympic boycott lobby is led by Jewish “special interests.” Once in Germany, Brundage is entertained by top Nazi official Hermann Göring.

If the only Nazi McCloy set free was Barbie - that alone would be 1 too many.  Barbie was responsible for the torturing and death of Jean Moulin, hero of the French resistance among others.

Then to recommend Ghelan as the head of W Germany's secret service.

The American public is in the dark and in nearly complete denial of these cold hard facts. If I bring any of this up in conversation with friends I am met with blank stares and immediately shut down. This is especially true of my many Jewish friends, who would not even watch Ken Burns America and the Holocaust, much less look at todays world through the lens this accurate history.

People today believe narratives, not what might be true. 

Donk narratives or 'Phant narratives. 

Of course, in the real world, media, events or prosecutions can be manipulated---but people have become so partisan, they feel as long as the manipulations are against the other party, then it is OK.
