This fact adds an additional layer of complexity to the story of their temporary detention on November 22, 1963, in the wake of the JFK assassination. What might have motivated these three men to involve themselves in such a grave act? Did all three held deeply racist views and vehemently opposed school desegregation? The mere thought of their children attending school alongside Black students may have been unthinkable to them! These guys were probably hired by Ed Lansdale to assassinate JFK. You can delve into more details about their arrest via this link, which leads to an FBI interview note featuring Dallas Police Department officer R.C. Wagner: FBI note of R.C. Wagner's Interview- https://web.archive.org/web/20191022151751/http://jfkassassinationfiles.com/fbi_124-10273-10448 But, who did Wise report to directly? The thread was revived to consider the uniformed guys as much as the tramps because their rifles were in "field carry", I think that's the term, meaning somewhat perfunctory? Paul Cummings
"Lois Gibson compared the photos of the present day Harold Doyle with the photographs taken in Dealey Plaza, and came to the conclusion that Mr. Doyle isn't the the same individual in the Dealey Plaza photograph." pg

So, Sgt. Dean was his direct command on the 22nd. He was traffic duty and ended up arresting the "tramps"?
Steve Thomas
Marvin Wise was a Patrolman in the Patrol Division, Second Platoon, Headquarters Station, 8:00 AM - 4::00 PM shift. Cecil Talbert was the Captain of that Platoon. Patrick Dean was one of the Sergeants. See Batchelor's Exhibit 5002. Joe Bauer
Could someone post the Harold Doyle photos that don't look-alike? The one of him in the Dealey Plaza perp walk and the other one that looks different? Thanks.

Ron Bulman
On 7/9/2023 at 8:28 PM, Michael Crane said: Gonna give it a try. Hard to tell. Look at the shadows in the first picture. Pretty pronounced for say 1:00 in the afternoon. 30 minutes after the assassination. The railroad yard was flooded with cops searching it immediately after it. Even if not till 1:30, long shadows for that time of day. In addition to his limited Warren Omission testimony (which is Very important) Lee Bowers by some accounts said words to the effect of: After the rail yard was finished searching and cleared to resume operations by the DPD, near or after 2:00 Lee released a train heading South over the triple underpass. As it slowly began leaving the area he observes three men a few hundred yards down the track climbing on a grain car. He stops the train, alerts the police. They walk down the track, roust them out of the grain car, walk them back to the Sherrif's office. Maybe around 2:30-3:00. In deeper shadows? Some of this is supported in part by DPD officers and Sheriffs officers reports.
