A law enforcement expert joined "Fox News @ Night" on Sunday to detail what happened when an officer at former President Trump's
Pennsylvania rally allegedly confronted the gunman on a rooftop before the deadly shooting on Saturday.
Retired Las Vegas Police Lt. Randy Sutton says the officer was alerted to the gunman, now identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, and was attempting to confront him on the roof, but there was "no ladder" or access point.
The officer decided to reach Crooks by climbing onto the back of another officer, according to Sutton's sources.
"As he was lifting himself up over the roof line, suddenly the suspect pointed his gun at him, the officer ducked down, and when he did, he fell off the back of the other officer," Sutton said.
Sutton explained that this was not a situation where an officer committed a "cowardly act," dismantling an earlier report that the officer possibly retreated when he confronted Crooks.
"This is an officer who made an observation, saw that he was about to be shot, and fell off the back of the other officer," Sutton said.

      I notice that there is a lot of redundant MAGA spam on this thread-- even CHATGPT and X-Twitter MAGA posts-- predicated on the conspiracy theory that the recent Trump assassination attempt was a Deep State plot against Donald.

     Big on theory, small on facts.

     Should we have a Trump Assassination Conspiracy Theory thread on a board other than the JFKA board?

      Valid theories need to be predicated on the facts-- explaining all facts, without being contradicted by any facts.

      In contrast, the Kinaski/MAGA theories here remind me of Allen Dulles's approach to the Warren Commission, in reverse.

       Dulles began with a theory-- Lone Nut--then altered and repressed the facts to conform to his theory.

       The facts so far indicate that Crooks fits the profile of numerous mass shooters in 21st century America.

       He was a lonely young white male, bullied at school, who worked in a nursing home, and lived in a household where his conservative father owned numerous guns.

       Nothing wrong with being suspicious, especially since the security people at the site were negligent, but the focus should be on facts before theories.

Well, whether this sentence is a joke or you mean it. I am unable to make sense of it. TO me it is clear that the US Parakratos, who killed JFK is now out to kill Trump. In broad daylight, like a dog in the street ... or on a stage. Parakratos in Post-Civil War Greece: Reality and Interpretation

Based on a historiographical, archival and media analysis, this doctoral thesis explores the

phenomenon of parakratos (translated as deep state or parastate) in post-civil war Greece

(1949-1967). Research perspectives are fourfold: Firstly, parakratos is discussed in the

context of academic debates on parapolitics and the concepts of the dual state, the security

state and the deep state; and presented as a Cold War parallel security mechanism, analogical

to Italy and Turkey. Secondly, parakratos is analysed as part of domestic political reality

through the prism of the historical events documented in Greek historiography. In this sense,

the thesis concentrates on the emergence and operation of clandestine military groups and

parastate ultra-nationalist organisations against the backdrop of the Greek political, legal and

social environment. Both phenomena are elaborated on through the lens of the inefficient

Greek political and administrative system, a deeply divided society, the politicisation of the

public space, and the persistence of clientelist networks constructed upon political loyalties.

Third, the parakratos is examined on an interpretative level as a term and concept employed

in Greek historiography. Focusing on its presumed roots, actors, purposes and relations with

the state, three major images of the parakratos (paramilitary, military, and conspiratorial) are

being outlined. Fourth, the thesis indicates that the parakratos-related conspiratorial discourse

was linked with the anti-Right political speech, which subsequently influenced the left-wing

historiography on post-civil war Greece. In compliance with conceptual history, the case

study of the parakratos shows that, in order to take a fresh look at post-civil war Greek

history, a major revision of used terms is needed. Not only do concepts such as the parakratos

stem from the respective period but they also define it, thus determining which angle of

interpretation we are going to take.

That's a good one. I wonder if TMC had to get an elevated position or if he could have shot Trump from ground level at a distance. The podium itself put Trump up quiet high.

     Oswald served in the Marine Corps, did intel-related work with U2 ops at Atsugi, then served as a CIA false defector in the USSR before getting married, having a family, and doing intel-related assignments entailing multiple contacts with FBI and CIA assets-- Clay Shaw, Guy Bannister, Davide Ferrie, George De Mohrenschildt, Ruth Payne, Hosty, et.al.

     Crooks worked in the dietary department of a local nursing home.

     Does anyone really think those C.V.'s are comparable?

In the  attempted Trump assassination, Crooks did have police interference.  An officer climbed up on the roof and was  raising himself upon a ledge to get a better look only to see Crooks pointing his rifle at him.  The officer quickly dropped back down out of sight.  Crooks then turned and took his shots at the President.  The fact that Crooks was rushed to get off the shots, most likely, is the reason (along with Trump turning his head) that the former President was hit in the ear rather than in the head.

Well, having a vivid imagination about Lee Oswald's activities certainly aids the conspiracy theorists, that's for sure.
