The story says the three phones by Pentagon-Trump staffers were wiped...after they had turned in their phones after they left office. Think about that...after they relinquished their phones. So...it was not the Trumpers that wiped their own phones, but somebody inside the Pentagon. This comes on top of 10 (yes, 10) Secret Service agent phones having also been wiped---while the 27-year SS-veteran and director Jim Murray was running the shop. Also on Biden's watch, btw. For the record, Biden did not fire Murray, and Murray has left after Biden high accolades to join left-ish Snapchat in a cushy and lucrative position. My guess: You will never see the wiped texts. But ponder: Who could organize such wide-scale wiping of phones, including phones Trumpers had already returned (unwiped) to the Pentagon? No doubt, some on this forum will insist, without any evidence, it must have been Trumpers who wiped the phones. I am not sure. This seems beyond the scale of what the lulu Trumpers could accomplish. If partisan sentiments were not so extreme, in any similar situation the suspicion would be this was a shadow-state action. Really...the Trumpers are so skillful and powerful that months (maybe a year) after they have relinquished un-wiped phones to the Pentagon, they can go back in and wipe the phones? Like the Donks, the 'Phants get trapped by dogma too. Still, the latest polls indicate the 'Phants gain control of the House in November. A few months to go, and things could change.
