Is Spike Lee the Oliver Stone of 9/11 Truth?

Consider that this is also (still) the year of the Capitol riots.  There may be fear of dissenting ideas slipping into the mainstream, where everyone with a MAGA hat gathering dust atop the TV can see them.

Salon.com, the online magazine developed by David Talbot, very kindly makes the connection for us in its review of Spike's series, an article that shouldn't be ignored:

"[E]xperts have concerningly linked the success of 9/11 theories through the years to the success of some of the most dangerous conspiracy theories that have poisoned our politics, today.

"9/11 trutherism paved the way for the massive spread of QAnon's outlandish pedophilia cabal theories, which have culminated in death and an insurrection, as well as anti-vaccine conspiracy theories that have contributed to the spread of COVID variants across the country."

https://www.salon.com/2021/08/25/spike-lee-9-11-documentary-conspiracy-theory-reedit-hbo/

The designation "truther" for 9/11 skeptics ought to be abandoned and disowned by researchers, having been corrupted by the right into the Obama "birther" concept.

Wait five minutes, and MSM journalism will reach back to JFKA research of the 1960s as the cause of right-wing conspiracy theory.

On the other hand, Salon says we will just love-love-love NatGeo's new 9/11 doc series, which questions nothing:

Hi David,

I totally take on board what you are saying. This was actually my biggest fear, that a crowd of the disenfranchised pushing their way in to the Capitol on January 6th, would be used to pass domestic terror laws, which would in turn be used to curtail, stifle or, stop future protests completely. Democracy loses. If it was proven that 9/11 was an inside job, are they the right circumstances for the whole country to get out and protest and demand a new enquiry? I think if we start censoring, we are working against democracy and liberty, not working for it.

We might ask ourselves, whether 'conspiracy theories' or, the government is more dangerous? What is the death toll caused by each? Would the founding fathers support the censorship?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

It seems clear to me but, some will argue the new tech advances means the founding fathers may not have full understood what the future may look like, and some would argue the principles are the same. What is happening is, for the most part the censorship is tech driven or it's unclear exactly who the advocate of it is. The government should be extolling the virtues of the first amendment (IMHO).

Back to a JFK quote"

"For democracy to survive, people must be educated, vigilant and ready to rise up should their freedoms be threatened with being taken away."

I honestly have seen very little of this QAnon thing, is it possible that the first paragraph could correspond to this also? The result is that major news networks have run stories about how dangerous 'conspiracy theories' are. The knee jerk reaction from most of the public is that CT's are dangerous and must be stopped. The result is that society is afraid to post any concerns that don't fit the MSM narrative. It stifles dissent. Who was behind this QAnon thing?

IMHO It's always interesting to flip the narrative 30 degrees and to analyse it, and question the consequences of actions and inaction.

Best wishes,

Chris

Another bogus article about the recent M$M attacks on Spike Lee for interviewing the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth in his HBO series.  This one is from The Guardian.

Notice how the author erroneously refers to the corporate M$M attacks on Lee as a "public...uproar" -- as if the public had any role in attacking Spike Lee!   Then he proceeds to associate the Architects & Engineers with "tinfoil hat" QAnon conspiracy theorists.

Why is Spike Lee’s 9/11 docuseries so controversial?

His new HBO series has been re-edited after backlash over featuring 9/11 ‘truthers’ – but a thread of distrust remains

That stuff is typical of The Guardian.

Dylan Avery's new feature film THE UNSPEAKABLE releases online next week. I'm not sure if this is the forthcoming Avery feature I heard about on the grapevine. He may well have another one on the way besides this one. Rosie O'Donnell will be doing a live Q&A with Avery and some of the interviewees when it launches.

Interesting.  From what I've read on the subject, there is a great deal of 9/11 evidence that was never released by the FBI.

1)  The FBI never released the confiscated exterior security cam footage of the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon.

2)  They detained the "Five Dancing Israeli" Mossad agents (arrested at the George Washington Bridge on 9/11) for 70 days, but only released photos of the five young men celebrating the demolition of WTC1 and WTC2 in Liberty Park after a protracted FOIA lawsuit.

3)  They never released the documentary evidence showing that the alleged Barbara Olson "box cutter" phone calls from American Airlines Flight 77 never actually happened (except in FBI court testimony in the Moussaoui trial.)

4)  They never released any evidence linking Osama Bin Laden to 9/11.

5)  They, obviously, never released any FBI files indicating that Bin Laden was working for the U.S. government before and after 9/11-- as claimed by FBI translator Sibel Edmonds.

I interviewed Terrence Malick in the 1970s before he became

a recluse. He quoted Ben Hecht on how the

worst danger facing Hollywood screenwriters is the

impulse to self-censorship. It is often subconscious

and sometimes conscious but brought on by the pressures

of the system and must be resisted.

This brings to mind James DiEugenio's comments about "Hallin's spheres," and subjects that are considered "deviant" in public discourse and media-- beyond the pale.

Spike Lee crossed the line by trying to talk about one of the gaping holes in the official government narrative about 9/11 -- i.e., the evidence that the WTC skyscrapers were actually demolished by explosives.

On the 20th anniversary of 9/11 this month, it looks like we'll be witnessing the usual litany of gut-wrenching stories about the 9/11 tragedy, without any meaningful analyses of the gaping holes in the official mythology.

In our contemporary culture, such analyses are still considered deviant, even offensive.

We're now approaching the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and, coincidentally, the end of the 20 year war in Afghanistan, which was launched on the pretext of retaliating for 9/11.

Unfortunately, our mainstream media is simply repeating the 9/11 Osama Bin Laden mythology.

Here's a classic reference paper by David Ray Griffin exploring the dubious connection(s) between 9/11 and Afghanistan.

One of the most compelling references is #17-- about the July 2001 Berlin oil pipeline conference in which Bush administration officials reportedly told Taliban officials, “Either you accept our offer of a carpet of gold, or we bury you under a carpet of bombs.”

Worth reviewing.

Notice that the M$M is attacking so-called "conspiracy theories" about 9/11-- even comparing them to Trump's Big Lie-- without mentioning the accurate scientific analyses of the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth. *

Apparently, Newtonian physics is part of a kooky 9/11 conspiracy theory.

And we are assured by the Washington Post and New York Times that these censored scientific analyses of the WTC demolitions have been "debunked."  What a relief.

It is interesting what is attains gospel status both in the M$M, and then also in the political tribes and offshoots. And then what is ridiculed.

The above link suggests Trump in fact tried to pull US troops out of several regions, and was simply overruled by the Pentagon-"Deep State," and no one in the media gave a hoot. This was not a story to gain traction.

Really, the above link is not about whether you like Trump or not, or think he staged a coup attempt on Jan. 6, or how bad his hairdo was. Trump was mercurial, and not steady.

What this is really about a US President giving a legal order, and the military wing of executive branch not carrying out the order.

Decades ago, Nixon ordered the CIA to give him the Bay of Pigs files. They never did. I am not fan of Nixon, but do you prefer a government in which the military-intel services unilaterally decide what orders they will follow?

But Trump is a no go in the M$M media and triggers loss of bowel control for self-styled social justice warriors. But---Trump was right on getting troops out of the Mideast, right on the Wuhan lab, right on the need for border security, right on the CCP-China trade issue.

All of that was "wrong" in the lights of US elites-media, who want access to cheap labor at home and abroad and a global military.

Ben,

Trump has now flip flopped 180 degrees on ending the war in Afghanistan-- blaming Biden for the war's end.

But it's hardly the first time that we've watched watched Donald flip flop on issues involving the "Deep State."

He flip flopped on releasing the JFK assassination records.

Also, during his 2016 Republican primary debates with Jeb Bush, Trump declared, "When I'm President, the American people are going to find out who really destroyed the World Trade Center on 9/11."

But, as POTUS, Trump never uttered a word on that subject.

And, for the past 20 years, the U.S. mainstream media has never uttered a word about the Project for a New American Century.
