  1. Given the musical vibe of this thread. One of my daughters sent me this. Which I never knew of, despite knowing of the 13th floor elevators. Great documentary on them available, not including this. Facebook Which inspired me to find their first "hit" on fm radio before it was much of a thing, few/no commercials, from their first album. Re done even slower, 50 years later in Gruene Hall, where my wife and I have danced.
  2. No, I had not seen the video, thanks for posting it. I have read it before, I can't remember the officer's name at the moment. I have no doubt Ruby was told to kill Oswald, as it was premeditated, he had foreknowledge. Regarding the JFKA itself I have little doubt anymore he had foreknowledge something was going to happen. Hence, the statement from the FBI informant about JR saying, Let's go watch the fireworks.
  3. JR is an enigma. Re reading his Warren Commission testimony the other day a couple of statements to Warren himself made me wonder further about foreknowledge. One, I have been used for a purpose . . . now a new form of government (will come about? - paraphrased from memory). I'll look for the other in a few days, going to be busy. Or see/look for yourself. Testimony Of Mr. Jack Ruby (jfk-assassination.net)
  4. Interesting article. Hugh Aynesworth shot baskets with Castro? More tomorrow.
  5. Nope it did not. One in the hairline over the right eye, one in the right temple slightly in front of the top of the ear. Simultaneously. Another a split second before in the lower edge of the back of the head blow out. Per Dr's Mantick and Chesser along with Doug Horne of the ARRB.
  6. I'd like to read the book. I believe most readers here would agree with Paul and we all, always want documentation. The interviews mentioned are such. Though more may be desired in other aspects I've admired the prior works of Don Jeffries and William Matson Law for some time.

  8. It's almost like he's the FBI's version of the media's Hugh Aynesworth.
  9. Repeated deep belly laughs. One again, the JFKA is not a parlor game, as you well know better than many of us, but levity is needed sometimes. I guess you saw Kelce trying to sing this?
  10. That was the best Super Bowl game ever. As Kelce said,
  11. The Super Bowl always takes me back to watching it the first time the Cowboys won it on January 16, 1972. They couldn't win the big one. They lost to the Baltimore Colts by a field goal with 5 seconds left the year before. They lost the NFL Championship to the Packers in 1966 and 67 by one score in the last minute. They ran over the Miami Dolphins 24-3. 48 rushes for 254 yards. Duane Thomas 19/95 yds, Walt Garrison 14/74, Calvin Hill 7/25. Even Mike Ditka 1.17, Bob Hays 1/17, Dan Reeves 1/7. Walt led them all in yards per carry at 5.3. Of course Staubach won MVP on 12/1 passing for 119 yards. The biggest play was Bob Lilly's 29 yard sack of Bob Griese. The next year the fins went 17-0. Only undefeated team in league history. Super Bowl VI - Dallas Cowboys vs. Miami Dolphins - January 16th, 1972 | Pro-Football-Reference.com
  12. If Purdy boy is Oswald, who is JR? BTW, TS landed in LA after Tokyo. Will she go to Vegas tonight or wait at her LA house until morning? Too much levity? Go Chefs/Dallas Texans.
  13. A deep enlightening post David, thank you. I guess maybe Niarchos Alf Ulmer might be the Al Ulmer George Herbert Walker Bush was associated with?
  14. Talk about double Oswalds, now we have a double Odum. Yep. Two Oswald's in the Texas Theater, two Odum's in different places at the same time. If he was at the TSBD when the rifle was found and went with Day to take it to DPD HQ then he didn't have time to get to the TT in time for Oswald's arrest. From what I remember of the timing, I should check. Kind of like Oswald from the rooming house, to shoot Tippit then on to the TT. If Odum was told by a DPD officer a suspect was seen entering the back door of the TT, is that where he went. How would a suspect enter a normally (one would think) locked back door? No other reports of such? Maybe he did rush to the back door. And observed the arrest of the man Butch Burroughs and Bernard Haire saw taken out of the back door? To be sure Harvey or Lee, one, was lost to history?
  15. K D actually made it onto the country charts with this one many years ago, top 20 maybe even 10.
  16. Math was my bane in college, I got lost in logarithms, barley passed. Though I somehow made an A in Statistics. Anyway, if Dr. Malcom Perry, an ER doctor experienced in gunshot wounds, says 3X in the press conference at 1:00 immediately after JFK was pronounced dead, the throat shot was an entry wound. Does that carry extra weight, in logical thinking?
  17. Michael, have you read William Matson Law's chapter on Custer in In The Eye of History? A neglected stunning and historical book. In the Eye of History: Disclosures in the JFK Assassination Medical Evidence: Law, William Matson: 9780965658287: Amazon.com: Books Unfortunately, the chapter ends with his sad demise and the downfall of his family, and this. Pgs. 278-80. Jerrol Custer was an enigma. . . . I found the man to be more than a bit of a curmudgeon. . . . The first time we spoke, he said, "See all these people take advantage of me. They write books, making millions, while I'm busting my ass for pennies." (working as a security guard, lost his position as a supervisory X-ray technician due to down-sizing.) "The kindest possible light I can shed on the dubious parts of Jerrol Custer's account is that he hoped to use the interview to promote the book he was working on."
  18. Thank you for your incredibly detailed response Gary. The whole Hickey did it premise of this thread perpetuates the disinformation that it is imho. Just curious sir, have you, or for that matter Denise ever seen Dallas from a DC9 at night?
  19. Leslie Sharp Members 2k Gender:Female Location:Santa Fe NM Interests:varied Posted July 14, 2023 · IP (edited) @Paul Cummings @Bill Brown @Steve Thomas I ask about SA Odum, Steve, because he appeared on the scene at critical locations in the early hours and days of the investigation including several on your list: The late great Raymond Gallagher referred to Dallas-based FBI SA Bardwell Dewitt Odum as "the ubiquitous bard": Ruth's " Handler " Bardwell D. Odum, FBI SA His office: The empty house next door to Ruth. "It is twice the pleasure to deceive the deceiver." Jean de La Fontaine (1621-1695) French poet. Michael had known Agent Bardwell "Bob" Odum prior to November 22nd. (9 H 444) On page 783, in Vol. 15, of the Warren Commission Hearings, we see the name Odum listed twice, once as Bardwell D. Odum and again as Hart Odum. Both listings are the same man. He was a special agent of the FBI and was stationed in Dallas at the time of the JFK assassination. His name is seldom mentioned by researchers, yet he was probably the most assiduous investigator involved in the 1963-1964 investigation. Odum was in the TSBD at the time that the murder weapon was found. Later, Lt. Day drove Odum to the police station with the weapon. Odum was seen and photographed leaving the building with Day at sometime close to 1:45 pm. Acording to Day, the agent used the car radio to contact his FBI office to describe the rifle. 4H264, Meager, p.100. SA James P. Hosty Jr. mentions the Bard numerous times, and it is Hosty who is witness and reporter to the spirit-like nature of SA Odum. It was between 1:45 and 2:00 pm. that Odum and Day made the delivery to Lt. Day's office at Main and Harwood Streets in downtown Dallas. At the very same time, according to Hosty, Bardwell was at the Texas Theater witnessing the arrest of LHO. Odum, himself made a statement (HSCA document #01431) describing his observing the arrest. His statement begins: "At approximately 2 p.m., November 22, 1963, I was informed by an unidentified policeman of the DPD that a suspect had been seen entering the back door of the Texas Theater. I immediately proceeded to the Texas Theater...." Dallas police radio transcripts reveal that at 1:51 pm. car No. 2 radioed to the dispatcher that they were on their way in with the suspect (WR. p, 179). Talk about double Oswalds, now we have a double Odum. In Dallas, the agent was well acquainted with Michael and Ruth Paine. Mike called the agent BOB; Ruth called him Mr. Odum and sometimes Hart. Additional notes on the bard: Odum was never called before the Warren Commission and the only time he surfaces during the hearings was during Sylvio Odio's testimony. He walked in, stayed for only a few minutes, and left the room. Odum had also been present in Dallas Police HQ when the bogus photo of Oswald arrived from MC; despite Hosty's insistent the photo wasn't Oswald, Bard insisted that they take the photo to Marina for identification (where they were blocked by Marguerite). 20. Your first post said the 21st century, but since you and Sean hijacked the thread and we're beyond that . . . You mentioned Dolly and I thought, country. No, she crossed the line to pop years ago. Same for some regarding soul, they had pop hits. Then you mentioned Emmy Lou Harris, country again for me at least. Linda Ronstadt and Bonnie Raitt have a little of it too. If we go all the way back to the 1960's to ladies who had songs appreciated by a wider audience, I'd start with these. Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette. Several since. Today, like her or not, we have to include Reba in the crossover to pop. She does have an impressive vocal range imho.
  21. Gerry, I think you miss Chuck's point. I personally think Oswald was meant to be eliminated at the TSBD, in transit to his rooming house (the bus search), on the way to the Texas Theater (no, he didn't shoot Tippit-no time for that), or at it. But, when he lived to tell the world "I didn't shoot anybody" and "I'm just a patsy", the plotters knew, we have to shut him up, asap. Sirhan still does not remember shooting RFK to this day. He did at one point if I remember right, say words to the effect of I don't remember shooting him but if you say it all happened the way you do, I guess I must have. He's never really protested, because he doesn't remember, so he's still alive. But incarcerated. They both were framed.
