Amen. I come from a military family (Navy, Air Force) but as a teenager the truth of the Vietnam debacle was coming out and I chose to go the civilian route in my career, although I did apply for Navy nuke program but did not make the cut.

Actually the Wallace print was put into evidence. It doesn't sound like anyone has said on record they saw the print actually being lifted from a box.

This is such an important detail concerning evidence, yet I had forgotten about it. Mac Wallace, the cold-blooded killer who had a history of doing LBJ's "dirty work". A single fingerprint of his found on a box near the Sniper's Nest. Was it planted? Likely. Who would have planted it and why? Someone involved in the JFKA who wanted leverage over LBJ, which could help explain LBJ going along with the coverup?

Whether there was a military connection or not, the DPD was crawling with characters intent on implicating Oswald and aiding and abetting Ruby in eliminating him. What a case!

I just read something about the 488th Army Intelligence Unit on the jfkcountercoup blog. Comprised of about one hundred men, about half of whom served in the Dallas Police Dept. in 1963. That summer they received their annual training/maneuvers at of all places The Pentagon. Supposedly this would have been extremely unusual. Maybe a sign that the unit was preparing for some kind of imminent "big event". Reading about all of the nefarious activities by Dallas law enforcement in the aftermath of the JFKA, kind of makes you wonder what was really going on! Supposedly this is covered in Coup in Dallas. Has anybody read and recommend it?

I read the first few chapters of Harvey and Lee but moved on to other things. The evidence described in the book of two different guys sharing an identity seems compelling. I am having a problem, however, understanding what the impetus would have been for "someone" to create doppelgangers.

I don't know about "dozens" of confessions but the E. Howard Hunt letter to his son St. John (the one where he put LBJ at the top of the conspiracy) looks like a confession.
