White House threatens to veto Democrats' bill to provide more money to USPS

By Jason Hoffman, Maegan Vazquez and Caroline Kelly, CNN

“The White House issued a veto threat on Friday for House Democrats' proposed bill that would provide $25 billion to the US Postal Service.

The bill is expected to pass on Saturday largely along party lines, with Democrats supporting it. House GOP leaders are pushing their members to oppose the legislation, and it is not likely to be considered in the Republican-controlled Senate.“

The fall of the American republic has been predicted by chaos theory.

It has been said that Trump loves chaos, which is why he loves to create it, with his lies, self-contradictory statements, ridiculous hires, absurd pronouncements, and impulsive decisions (such as abruptly pulling out of northern Syria so the Turks could slaughter some Kurds). The chaos leading up to the 2020 election gives me little hope that the republic will survive.

According to Wikipedia, “chaos theory is an interdisciplinary theory stating that, within the apparent randomness of chaotic complex systems (edit: such as the Trump administration), there are underlying patterns (edit: such as inspector general firings), interconnectedness (edit: such as Bill Barr’s Dept of Justice, the Postmaster General, and sycophantic Republican senators), feedback loops (edit: such as FoxNews), repetition (edit: constant lies), self-similarity, fractals, and self-organization” (edit: birds of a feather flocking together). This includes the so-called butterfly effect. “A metaphor for this behavior is that a butterfly flapping its wings in China can cause a hurricane in Texas.” Another metaphor is that millions of mailed-in votes piling up at the postal service (till eventually lost or disqualified) can bring down a republic.

Let us hear from McGovern and the late great Bob Parry on the NY TImes latest attempt to fortify RG:

The cognoscenti and the big fish themselves may be guessing that Trump/Barr/Durham will not throw out heavier lines for former FBI Director James Comey, his deputy Andrew McCabe, CIA Director John Brennan, and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, for example. But how can they be sure? What has become clear is that the certainty they all shared that Hillary Clinton would be the next president prompted them not only to take serious liberties with the Constitution and the law, but also to do so without taking rudimentary steps to hide their tracks.

So James Comey and the “Deep State” threw their collective weight behind the Clinton campaign by re-opening the bogus Clinton e-mail “scandal” 11 days before the election — which turned the 24-hour cable news cycle into non-stop Hillary bashing?

Meanwhile, this same “Deep State” conspiracy put the Russia-hacked-DNC story and the Steele Dossier in a cable news blackout over the last 70 days of the campaign!

McGovern, DiEugenio and all the other apologists for Trumpian fascism couldn’t “deep analyze” their way out of an open paper bag.

Here’s one McGovern and the rest of the Useful Idiot Brigade missed.

From the 2018 Trump-Putin Helsinki press conference:

REPORTER (Jeff Mason from Reuters): President Putin, did you want President Trump to win the election and did you direct any of your officials to help him do that?

PUTIN: Yes, I did. Yes, I did. Because he talked about bringing the US/Russia relationship back to normal.

Trump's sister talks about his lack of principles and why his lying shows he cannot be trusted.

Just listened to the tape comments by Trump's sister.

Meadows couldn't argue the basic truth of her comments or even say anything derogatory about her like he and his Godfather have done with Trump's niece.

He simply diverts to the niece and how appalling it was that she made the tapes and has gone public with them. That's all he and Trump have in this latest Trump insider truth revealing scandal.

It is quite shocking however to hear Trump's sister  ( she says this only 1 year ago ) saying her brother Donald has no principles, he's ruthless, he's a xxxx and how he changes stories and is so unprepared, "Holy Sh&T", etc.

Trump can't just say his sister is a xxxx or motivated by feeling cheated out of an inheritance like Mary Trump. Maryanne Trump got her hundreds of millions in inheritance.  These comments about her brother have no self-interest agenda.

The Republican Party declares itself to be a Personality Cult.

The more I think about this, the more insane it becomes.

We've just had a major political party stand up and say to the entire world, "We stand for absolutely nothing, and won't until 2024." What are they going to do if Trump loses?

What's Republican candidate do in 2022? "Vote for me. I'm a Republican and we don't stand for anything!"
