Ron Ecker
"Don't Let the Sun Set on You in Tulsa" - Waylon Jennings. Let's see, it goes something like this: If the sun goes down on you And you get infected You're goin' down too Don't let the sun set on you in Tulsa Edited June 11, 2020 by Ron Ecker
W. Niederhut
"Virtue signalling" is the new, idiotic Republican term for "discussing ethical principles" in politics-- as if discussing ethical considerations is nothing more than a show, or "signal." Only a sociopath would have such a flawed understanding of morality and social ethics. Many Republicans in the age of Trump hate talking about ethics-- mainly because they have none. Ron Bulman
It looks like the shet got even deeper today. I didn't realize Floyd was already handcuffed, in a police care and Chauvin drug him out of it to pin his neck to the pavement with his knee for starters. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/5-takeaways-from-house-hearing-with-george-floyds-brother-on-policing-reform/ar-BB15jyRU?li=BBnb7Kz Chauvin knew him, they worked together at a club, 'butted heads" per a co worker. Chauvin had a problem with minorities per the co worker and club owner. https://www.msn.com/en-ae/news/world/former-coworker-says-floyd-and-chauvin-bumped-heads/ar-BB15j5lq Murder One. I thought you were one. Huh? Throwing words around? Pretending to be a psychiatrist? Au contraire, I was using the word quite precisely in the context of criticizing the new right wing rhetoric about liberal, "virtue signalling." It's ridiculous. Was the term coined by Karl Rove or Rush Limbaugh? Some of us care deeply about matters of social ethics, justice, and the public welfare. It's far more than a mere rhetorical "signal." As for your wacky notion that I am "pretending to be a psychiatrist," puh-leeze! Google is your friend, Robert-- perhaps your only friend? 🙄
Ron Ecker
Given the protests of the last several days, and Trump's dim view thereof, I guess it's only a coincidence that our "Law and Order President" has chosen Tulsa for his first new rally. It's the site of the Tulsa race massacre, "the worst incident of racial violence in American history." I have to wonder, though, if he might be "signalling" anything. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulsa_race_massacre
James DiEugenio
Ron, no I did not see it. And I was not aware of it either. It does make me wonder about the pre existing relationship between the two. Second, what did you need four cops for on a fake 20 dollar bill? Reminds me of six cruiser cars at the Texas Theater. If the June 19 rally in Tulsa is meant in some way to honor what happened on June 19, I would think that Galveston would be the place to honor it, not the site of a massacre in Oklahoma. Steve Thomas
Donald J. Trump tweeted out, "The protesters, agitators, anarchists (ANTIFA), and others, were handled VERY easily by the Guard, D.C. Police, & S.S. GREAT JOB!" Now, I'm sure he was referring to the Secret Service, but it gave me the willies nevertheless. Steve Thomas
David Andrews
1 hour ago, Robert Wheeler said: All kinds of problems are pointed out in the twitter thread below. Since many of you will not bother to take a look, the first picture in the Twitter thread below shows the president of a company that manufactures realistic mannequins for Emergency Medical Training. The company is located in Minneapolis. The factory burned down in the riots last week. In the second video clip, it does not look like George Floyd has any legs when he is place on the stretcher (about the 20 second mark.) More clips in the thread of things that do not look right. Also - See this tweet - George Floyd with tattoos and without. (Maybe the camera resolution is just poor, nevertheless, I don't see any tattoos.) This should be the time to shine for many members of the JFK Assassination Forum. These discrepancies are screaming to be looked at by people who have been examining JFK Assassination photos and films since 1963. If there is any group that could provide cogent answers to the George Floyd photo and video discrepancies, it's the researchers who can differentiate a shadow on some stairs from Lee Harvey Oswald watching a parade, or determine the angle of impact from a .30-06 from three frames of film made with a hand held camera. His legs are there, sunken in the canvas stretcher. His torso is elevated because, hideously, his hands are still cuffed behind his back. Some kind of medical gear or other item is placed on him at hip level. forming a lump that makes it appear that his torso ends there. Putting carry items atop a person lying on a stretcher is not unknown in emergency transport. During carry, the head motions are consistent with an unconscious person's - I don't think you can simulate that with a rescue dummy at this time.
