Ron Bulman
I guess many have already seen this. It didn't take quite 56 years to get to super pac's but I just watched this earlier, missed it last year when it came out. Chuckled again multiple times throughout, at the irony at times, then laughed out loud near the end about the about a small town gaming the system. An interesting statement about the political world we live in and dark money (inspired by Jane Mayer?). My last job was running a prison library. We had a small world globe on a table in the library, and this inmate was searching for something on the globe. He said, "Mr. Ecker, can you help me find the North Pole on this globe?" I pointed out where it was, saying, "It's right here on top." And he said, "Oh, no wonder I couldn't find it." Funny story, Ron. Just as a matter of interest, the North Pole is only at the top of the globe on Midsummer's day, surely?

The man who okayed Geneva Convention violating torture of prisoners painting an image of his own creation? Maybe some guilty reflection there? Anybody's guess what inspired Jr. to paint such an image? Just went to our first film in a theater in over 1 1/2 years. Saw the film "The Card Counter." Speaking of the subject of the use of torture under the Bush/Cheney Rumsfeld terms.

Think you mean the Magnetic Pole, Joe, which is moving westwards toward Russia. Rather than the Actual North Pole is is fixed at 90 ˚ North and 0˚E/W
Steve Thomas
Just to be a smartass, I suppose I would have asked the kid if he was wondering about the northernmost point on the earth, or if he was wondering about the North Pole in the sky. Because of the precession of the equinoxes, the North Pole shifts every 26,000 years or so. https://www.glyphweb.com/esky/concepts/northerncelestialpole.html "Polaris hasn't always been the Pole Star. In fact, it has only been close to the Pole for the last thousand years or so, and over the next millennium it will gradually move further away. This is because the Earth's motion is constantly affected by the pull of other bodies in the Solar System, especially the Moon and the Sun, which causes a 'wobble' in its orbit. This, in turn, causes the Pole to move relative to the stars. Prominent Pole Stars c.3000 BCE Thuban c.1000 BCE Kochab c.2000 CE Polaris c.3000 CE Errai c.7500 CE Alderamin c.14000 CE Vega The effect of this wobble (properly called precession) is that both Celestial Poles follow a broad circle through the sky. For most of the time, there is no Pole Star at all, but occasionally the Pole will pass near a conspicuous star - we are lucky to live in a time when Polaris fulfils this role. For the ancient Egyptians, the Pole Star was not Polaris, but Thuban in Draco, while observers in the far future will see yet other stars at the Northern Celestial Pole." David Andrews
The British press gives us the latest in barely supportable premises linking 9/11 and current events, to be followed certainly by more linkages of 9/11 truthers and QAnon: Covid kills a 9/11’s worth of Americans every three days. The vaccine mandate shouldn’t be controversial https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/sep/15/covid-vaccine-mandate-joe-biden It's a good job large-scale murder happens, I'd say... Kirk Gallaway
This guy could get away with saying things no other comedian could. He actually lost his job at SNL news for his news commentary about OJ at the bottom, because he stepped on NBC executive Don Ohlmeyer's, toes, who was a friend of OJ. Norm Mac Donald dead at 61.
