I've three cousins I still love that I haven't really communicated with the last four years because of their Facebook posts. It's sad to loose contact with family over politics. I think fox news in particular egged them on.

Steve Thomas
Donald Trump’s Business Sought A Stake In Parler Before He Would Join By Ryan Mac and Rosie Gray February 5, 202 https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/ryanmac/trump-parler-ownership Documents seen by BuzzFeed News show that Parler offered the Trump Organization a 40% stake in the company. It is unclear as to what extent the former president was involved with the discussions. The deal was never finalized, but legal experts said the discussions alone, which occurred while Trump was still in office, raise legal concerns with regards to anti-bribery laws. But the White House counsel’s office soon put a stop to the talks, one person with knowledge of the discussions said, ruling that such a deal while Trump was president would violate ethics rules. The never-before-reported talks between Trump’s business organization and Parler, a social media network that promises less moderation than mainstream sites and is embraced by the far right, provide more insight into the frantic last weeks of Trump’s presidency. Greg Olear and LB Who Owns Kavanaugh #1: The Justice & The Replacement - PREVAIL by Greg Olear (substack.com) Excellent article given us by Doug and has said many things I didn't know about Cavanaugh. I had forgotten Cavanaugh was instrumental in the Ken Starr line of interrogation Bill Clinton in the Monica Lewinsky scandal. But Cavanaugh himself interned under a judge Alex Kosinski who himself had his own website, with a personal stash of pornographic images charitably described as “unusual.” That story would not break for two more years, but, given dirty-minded Kozinski’s penchant for showing the contents of said porn stash to his female clerks and his externs, Just like Clarence Thomas! Cavanaugh was not on Trump's list he first submitted for SC justice to fill Anthony Kennedy's vacating spot. But Trump and Anthony Kennedy were good friends, and Kennedy's son Justin headed the real estate division of the scumball Deutsche Bank and Trump was an important client, at a time when no one else would lend to Trump! Justin was also a guy guy Trump had known socially for years, they even were with each other at the U.S. Open! So it's quite possible, Kennedy himself later told Trump he wanted Cavanaugh to succeed him. Cavanugh was also involved with the stonewalling of Merrick Garland’s nomination in 2016. He's just a total political party animal!, and the Federalist Society heavily recommended him. People don't know but "The Federalist Society has mainstreamed ideas that were once considered intellectual outliers: that most of the New Deal and administrative state are unconstitutional, that corporations have free speech and free religion rights, that women and LGBT people are not “protected classes” under constitutional law, and that there is no right to privacy implied by the due process clause of the Constitution (i.e., banning abortion, contraception, and gay marriage are entirely constitutional). Two decades ago, hardly anyone in the legal academy took these ideas seriously. Now, they are litmus tests for conservative judges." IMO, This is a very good part 1 in 5! Steve Thomas
Republicans in the House of Representatives voted not to strip Marjorie Taylor Greene of her House Committee assignments, because they didn't want to overturn the will of the people in her District in Georgia who elected her; which is ironic, because a month ago they were trying to overturn the will of the people in the entire State of Georgia, as well as the entire States of Michigan, and Pennsylvania, and Arizona. Steve Thomas
Trump's DC hotel jacking up room rates on date QAnon believers think he'll assume power again: report By Tom Boggioni 02/07/21 https://www.rawstory.com/trump-qanon-2650380375/ "According to a report from Forbes, the Trump International Hotel in Washington DC has massively increased rates on the dates QAnon believers are claiming Donald Trump will oust President Joe Biden and once again assume control on the U.S. Government. According to a theory pushed by so-called "sovereign citizens" that has been making the rounds since Biden was inaugurated, on March 4th Donald Trump will once again be president. "Sovereign citizens believe that a law enacted in 1871 secretly turned the U.S. into a corporation and did away with the American government of the founding fathers. The group also believes that President Franklin D. Roosevelt sold U.S. citizens out in 1933 when he ended the gold standard and replaced it by offering citizens as collateral to a group of shadowy foreign investors." Vice previously reported. With that in mind, QAnon adherents are planning on holding inauguration festivities that day to welcome the ex-president back. Never one to pass up an opportunity to cash in on making a buck off of fans of the now ex-president, his hotel bumped their rates. Substantially. "At the Trump International Hotel in Washington DC, the least expensive room option is the deluxe king, ranging in size from 350 to 475 square feet. At this time of year, it normally runs anywhere from $476 to $596 per night," the report states. "Interestingly, on March 3 and 4, the same room is selling for $1,331 per night. That's 180% above the base rate and more than double what you'd pay any other night in February or March, according to the hotel's website.""
